Problem:
Due to fouling and scaling accumulation, an internal heat exchanger in the data center cooling tower was blocked.
To reduce the heat, additional cooling towers had to be operated.
The delta T of the outgoing water temperature compared to the return water was too low and insufficient.
The problem was diagnosed through temperature difference data and through visual diagnosis of the blockage that had formed.
Solution:
An SRCT system was installed.
Results:
The heat exchanger remained clean.
Water temperature Delta T achieved the designed goal.
As a result of the success, three additional systems were purchased.
